The Arboretum depends on the generosity of our members and donors to maintain and develop the grounds, provide visitor facilities and offer education programmes for both children and adults.
The Nairobi Arboretum offers a variety of lasting and meaningful ways to honour someone special while providing important financial support to the Arboretum. These include:
Memorials and Tribute Gifts
A donation to the Arboretum is a unique and thoughtful way to mark a special occasion. Commemorate a wedding, birthday, anniversary or remember a loved one by making a gift in their honour to the Arboretum. Gifts can be made in any amount.
Trees
Celebrate the life of someone special with a tree dedication. The Arboretum’s collection of trees has served as a source of natural beauty and inspiration for decades. A donation of KShs 100,000 will provide for the dedication of a tree from our existing collection and ensure the Arboretum’s continued splendour for future generations. New (approved) trees can also be planted and dedicated. Your tree dedication includes a personalised recognition plaque for the natural life of the tree.
Benches
A bench dedication offers a wonderful place to rest and reflect while enjoying the beautiful Arboretum grounds. For a donation starting from KShs 50,000, a donor can work with Arboretum staff to find a suitable location for a tribute bench. The bench includes an attached brass plaque engraved with two lines of 30 characters each.
Dedication Receptions
Celebrate the dedication of a tree or bench with friends and family at the Arboretum.
Estate Gifts
By naming the Arboretum as a beneficiary in your estate plans through a will, trust, retirement plan, or insurance policy, you help sustain the gardens for future generations.
Corporate Fundraising
Secure assistance, support and collaboration for the Arboretum Management plan objectives within the commercial, public and voluntary bodies.
Office equipment
Donate materials such as tools, office equipment or labels.
Recognition
Tributes and gifts will be listed in the Tree News and names published in this site. They will also be acknowledged with a letter to the individual or family, company or donor.
